Author Fee

Al-Faqr: Journal of Islamic Intellectual Studies publishes all articles in full open access under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0). To cover the costs of providing high-quality publishing services and free access to readers worldwide, authors are required to pay a one-time article processing fee (APC) for manuscripts accepted after peer review.
This journal charges author fees with the following details:
  • Submission fee: Free
  • Editorial processing fee: Free
  • Article processing fee (APC): IDR 100,000
  • Additional page fee: Free
  • Color publication cost: Free
The APC includes manuscript management, peer review coordination, professional editing and proofreading, layout design, DOI registration via Crossref, indexing services, and permanent online hosting. The journal operates as a fully digital, open-access publication; print editions are not provided, and printing costs are not covered by the APC. There is no fee for withdrawing articles prior to peer review; however, manuscripts that have entered the peer-review stage cannot be withdrawn without editorial approval.
Al-Faqr is committed to equitable access to knowledge and encourages authors from under-resourced institutions to contact the editorial office regarding possible fee waivers or discounts. All financial transactions are managed transparently, and funds are utilized solely to sustain the journal's operational quality and long-term accessibility.
