Al-Faqr: Journal of Islamic Intellectual Studies (abbreviated as Al-Faqr) is an international, peer-reviewed, and open-access journal dedicated to advancing critical scholarship on the intellectual traditions of Islam across historical and contemporary contexts. Scope: The journal welcomes contributions from interdisciplinary fields including Islamic Philosophy and Theology (Kalam), Qur'anic and Hadith Studies, Sufism and Islamic Mysticism, Islamic Law and Legal Theory (Usul al-Fiqh), History of Islamic Sciences, Comparative Intellectual Traditions, Contemporary Islamic Thought, Islam and Science, Islam and Human Rights, Gender and Ethics in Islamic Discourse, and the Reception of Islamic Ideas in Global Contexts—particularly those examining:
